Human Ladder

The Human Ladder is a unique team-building activity where participants create a horizontal ladder by holding 1.5-inch dowels at waist height. As the climber moves across the rungs, the team must carefully coordinate to extend the ladder, moving rungs from the back to the front as the climber progresses. This activity requires trust in teammates, strength to support the climber, and a commitment to safety to ensure a successful journey across the ladder. Roles can be rotated, allowing everyone to experience both climbing and holding the rungs.

Learning Outcomes:

Trust:
Build trust in your team as you rely on their support and stability while walking along the ladder.

Saftey:
Prioritize safety by ensuring the rungs are secure and stable, protecting the climber throughout the activity.

Carrying each other's burdens:
Learn to share the load by supporting your teammates, both literally and figuratively, as they walk along the rungs.

Strength:
Develop physical strength and teamwork as you hold the rungs steady and assist the climber in their journey.
